This site, created by Derek Sheffield and Mark Planchak, is a selection
of contemporary poems, poems fresh from the keys, poems from poets who are
plying their vocation right now.
The primary purpose of this site is as a resource for the creative writing
students of Wenatchee Valley College. It is a supplemental text of model
poems, and it is a controlled gateway to the world of on-line literature.
Northwest poet and teacher, Nelson Bentley, said, “Poetry is the
distilled essence of everything.” On this page, then, you have the
links to everything.
